Mesh To Solid - Mesh To Solid is a software to convert a mesh into a solid.

A mesh is a set of vertices connected by edges that describe triangular or quadrilateral faces. These faces describe the shape of the object that the mesh describes. Meshes are often used to describe closed solid or open surface objects. However, general solid modeling software do not have methods to manipulate or modify mesh objects. Solid modeling operations such as boolean operations (add, subtract, intersect), extrude, offset, fillet, chamfer, rib, draft, shell, hollow, etc. are possible only with solid or surface objects. Moreover, there is no way to convert a mesh into a solid so that the solid modeling operations can be carried out on it. Mesh To Solid solves this problem by giving you the ability to convert a mesh to a solid.

Mesh To Solid can read mesh objects from the following file formats:

Rhinoceros files (*.3dm)

3D Studio files (*.3ds)

Stereolithography files (*.stl)

Wavefront files (*.obj)

Mesh To Solid saves solid data in the following file formats:

ACIS files (*.sat)

Rhinoceros files (*.3dm)

Mesh To Solid is designed to be extremely user friendly and easy to understand. Its as easy as opening a mesh file using the Open command and saving it as a solid using the Save As command.

"The SYCODE License was unable to a detect network card o this computer"

Ok-I loaded it got the key and loaded an stl file to see if it would work. Loaded the file ok so when I saved as to Rhino nurbs it hung up and failed to work. All I wanted to know is if it would work. I have a cnc program that is mesh only and cannot export to bigger machines. I bought Rhino hoping it would import the files and save them as nurbs-so now I am trying yours and nothing. There is your review.

I installed the software, applied the emailed registry key, and got the following error:
"Failed to update registry Please try using REGEDIT"

I am reluctant to begin a relationship with your software that requires me to manually edit the registry...

This is an extremely useful program. I have used it to convert objects which other, very well known CAD programs were struggling to modify. It's quick, simple, and saved me a lot of time and effort. Thank you.

offset command

i don't find the offset command, this is what i mainly need too. For the rest, it seems that the program has all the functionality needed for the mesh editing and solid transforming

Good tool for special puposes

Mesh to solid is a good tool for special purposes. Unfortunatly not for all my problems with ACAD Solids...

I actually want something opposite.

I actually want something opposite, solid from mesh, I am actually doing some OpenGL 3D modelling and I want to use the CAD solid objects for the model.
Can you help me in that ??

A little to simple.

This program is simple. A little to simple. It would be nice to have some analsys
and a way to fix a incomplete mesh. Other then that it works fine.
